2. As your fellow nurse, I am confused at this anti-TB treatment plan. All other antibiotics I\’ve administered have been the \”sterilizing kind\” (meaning that 10 days of one drug (or maybe two) should kill all bacteria). Why is the first course of treatment considered \”bactericidal\” and the second course considered the \”sterilizer\”. And why am I administering this course for six full months when standard antibiotic therapy is only 10 days. Can you clarify my confusion for me?
