The interpretation of the United States Constitution is a task that falls upon our judiciary. Some justices are known for strict construction while others believe that the Constitution is a malleable document which requires interpretation based on a number of factors. Other justices are political activists and create new law by virtue of their particular interpretations. Explain in detail what you believe the original intent of the framers was as it applies to the Constitution. Where they all strict constructionists? What are the pros and cons as it regards a more liberal interpretation of the Constitution? How does politics and in particular the role of the Executive (President) affect the law as it is interpreted or created by our Supreme Court justices? How does our Constitution insure that no one branch of government will overpower another?
