Discuss Gender influence on phonology

study is based on sociolinguistics belief that \”gender\” as a social factor and NOT biological influence the \”pronunciation of consonants\”…my study examines how this factor could influence the pronunciation of Arabic students learning English as a foreign language.. In sociolinguistics, as Labov, indicated this is a very important factor that has an influence on pronunciation….many studies shows that gender has an affect with females being superior others said men,,others said no affect… but they dealt with gender as a biological factor =\”sex\”, and not as a social factor.. Anyways kindly I need your help…We could reflect on the factor, by supporting, criticising studies that dealt with gender as sex because the term gender in sociolinguistics has another meaning and has nothing to do with sex…, …
